Subsidy fraud: Jonathan reacts to ex-EFCC boss, Farida Waziri’s claims Goodluck Jonathan, immediate past President, has reacted to disparaging statement against his government by former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Farida Waziri. Waziri had claimed that while in office, she arrested a suspect involved in oil subsidy scam and that immediately, she got a call from the Presidential villa, asking her to “release the suspect, because, in their words, ‘he is our person.” The former EFCC boss claimed that her refusal to release the suspect led to her removal from office few days later.
